Transform local healthcare and diversify your community pharmacy's revenue with CPESN® Big Tree Medical. The patient-membership model for integrating primary care to pharmacy practice offers affiliating CPESN pharmacies recurrent cash flow; and for some, clinic ownership.

Add Primary Care to Your Community Pharmacy Practice

The special purpose network CPESN Big Tree Medical offers community pharmacies an opportunity to integrate primary care to their pharmacy practices with a cash-membership model built on partnership with a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. This is one of several new entrepreneurial paths available exclusively to CPESN pharmacy owners looking for new ways to diversify and increase their revenue. Requiring as little space as a 10x10 examination room, the clinics are ideally located in or near the pharmacy. Patients pay on average $70 per month and have unlimited access to primary care and pharmacy services, including generic medications.

Follow the link below to watch a short video where Kari VanderHouwen, owner of Duvall Drugs and CPESN Washington luminary talks about affiliating with CPESN Big Tree to expand primary care access in her community, and generate new pharmacy revenue.

Depending on state corporate practice of medicine laws, pharmacists may be able to own the clinics. The model anticipates a patient volume of 900 to 1,200 per nurse practitioner, with the embedded nurse practitioner available to support expansion of other pharmacy-led services.

CPESN Big Tree Medical helps the pharmacy and NP or PA set up the clinic and hire a team. In addition to a one-time join fee, the pharmacy and the clinic share a monthly $18 per patient fee that covers marketing, billing, and software infrastructure; a virtual office manager; and 24/7 patient call center. Patients have access to same-day appointments for acute care, affordable management of chronic diseases, and enhanced services such as mental health care, substance abuse care, and medical weight loss.
